CRAFT FOR TODAY : SIMPLE PENCIL CASE

"MOMMY,,, I BOUGHT A NEW PENCIL CASE TODAY... WANNA SEE IT???"
How about we change that particular siuation...
"MOMMY TODAY I GOT A NEW PENCIL CASE. I DONE IT BY MYSELF...!!"
This looks more satisfying.
There are no other thing that is better than what we done by ourself.
It may not look perfect, but at least you have :

  1. put yourself in the pencil case maker
  2. broaden your creativity
  3. use up all the recycle things
  4. try your best in doing something
HOW TO DO IT?? LIKE THE RECIPE, FIRST,, OF COURSE WE NEED INGREDIENT...

INGREDIENT NEEDED :

  • a nice recycle fabrics. here i am using a fully-cotton fabrics with a plants design.

*advice : use the fabrics that is a little bit rough, so that you can sew it easily. Satin type of fabrics may make you to have difficulties in sewing it.

  • button. you are going to need a lot of button.
*Advice : choose a button that you can imagine to used with. Don't use button that have the same theme colours with your fabrics colour. if your fabrics has a dark colour, try to apply a colourful colour of button to decorate it later.

  • next, you really need two types of these needle. First is : sewing needle. Second : safety needle/pin.
*Advice : try to use a very small size of needle, this could help you to minimize the hole that you are accidentally sew on the fabrics. i don't have the exact size, but here, i am using the needle that is quite small, you can generally differentiated the size of the needle through the size of the hole that you put your thread in.

  • we also are going to need a thread.

*Advice : here i am using the thread with a white as it colour. this is because my fabrics was grey, and because there is no grey thread available so i just grab this one out of my sew kit. if you face the same situation, try to find the nearest colour of thread that is same with your fabric colour.

  • and of course we need a scissor.

*Advice  : please do not cut off the paper or whatsoever using the same scissor that you use for cutting down the fabric. You are going to make the scissor to lose it sharpness. Separate the use of your scissor.

  • and you are going to need a maker or good pen.
*Advice : try to not use the pen or maker that have a very thick eyes/ sharp eyes, because you can damage the fabrics texture.

  • and you also are going to need a ruler.
*Advice : if you can, please use a transparent ruler, this is because you can easily see you fabrics either its going to be too left or too right.

STEPS TO DONE IT :

1. Measure the fabrics. here, i am going to make it a little bit big. so my measurement is about

LENGTH : 30CM  and  HEIGHT : 25CM

2. Then, draw a line around it. just like in the picture below, this is used to guide you in folding and sewing session later.

3. Then, you have to cut along the line you have draw before.

4. The next step is, for every each side, fold 2cm in, and sew it. this is to tidy up your fabrics. The, fold your fabric into to half, the for both side, sew it up. just like the picture below :

(PICTURE BELOW) Here, i have pinned it down with a safety needle/pin to make sure it doesn't move while i sewing.

5. then, i just sew in several button as its decorative items. now, its super done... HAPPY TRYING... :)
